'Birth to Potty' nappies refers to cloth nappies that will fit all the way from 'birth' to potty training. This name is a little misleading however, as most of these nappies will actually fit from around six to eight weeks old and up to around 35lb, which is usually around 2.5-3 years - or roughly when most toddlers begin to potty train. Most people choose to use a newborn nappy set up for the first six to eight weeks prior to starting in birth to potty nappies.
You will often notice poppers on the front of these reusable nappies, these poppers are called 'rise poppers' and allow you to adjust the size of the cloth nappy to fit a smaller baby through to a toddler.
Where there are 'sized' nappies in this section, I have chosen the size that fits for the most chunk of time, so for Little Lamb bamboo fitted nappy this is a size 2, however you will usually find you need to size up to a size 3 in this style eventually.
Pocket nappies are often 'birth to potty' as they are super easy to adjust for both absorbency and size. You can add more boosters as your baby grows and adjust the sizing as you go. Don't be alarmed if your baby is on the biggest or loosest size setting when they are still quite young - around 8-9 months. You will still find the nappy fits as they get older, and sometimes even has to be adjusted to a smaller setting, as they begin to move, their body shape changes and the nappy can be made smaller.
