7 Moons Weekly Calendar

A sweet wooden calendar for association with each day of the week, according to Waldorf teachings.

Each day can be assigned a colour, and children will experience the rhythm of the week using their own calendar, helping them to understand the passage of days. 

Containing seven Nins-acorns in seven different colours, to associate with each day of the week.  There are also seven vessels that can contain the Nins and one round dish for them all to sit on. (18cm).

It is an ancient belief that each day of the week has its own planet, colour, scent and grain.

Mondays' planet is the moon, grain is rice, colour is purple or violet, and the scent is jasmine. 

Tuesdays' planet is Mars, colour is red, grain is barley and scent is clove.

Wednesdays' planet is Mercury, grain is millet, colour is yellow, and scent is copal.

Thursdays' planet is Jupiter, grain is rye, colour is orange and scent is cedar. 

Fridays' colour is green, planet is Venus, grain is oats and scent is rose. 

Saturday the planet is Saturn, grain is corn, colour is indigo or blue and the scent is myrrh.

Sunday the planet is the sun, colour is white, scent is frankinscense and the grain is wheat.
